Spanish Language Accelerator · 1:1 coaching

You know more Spanish than you can say.

When it’s your turn to speak, the words don’t come. The Accelerator fixes that. For 12 weeks, a Spanish teacher works with you one-to-one on the exact places where you get stuck. The Spanish you already know becomes Spanish you can use.

For adults who already know some Spanish. Not for complete beginners. No payment on this page.

Student stories

Different goals. Real progress.

Some wanted to speak with more confidence. Some had a trip or an exam coming up. Here is what changed for four students.

A second Camino

Christina wanted to stop stalling mid-conversation.

She had walked a Camino in Spain and found speaking the hardest part, even though reading and listening were easier. With the Accelerator, her writing and speaking improved, and she started thinking in Spanish instead of translating first. She has booked another Camino and feels more confident speaking with locals.

A honeymoon in Chile

Steve wanted more than “quiero dos huevos.”

He and his fiancée were planning their honeymoon in Santiago, and he wanted real conversations with Chileans. Two-thirds of the way through the program, he had moved from the basic present tense to using the subjunctive and conditional.

Moving past a plateau

Keith knew the tenses but heard himself using the wrong verb forms.

After retiring, he was determined to become bilingual, but hit a plateau after three or four years. Weekly essays with corrections showed him what to work on, and his coach adapted each session to what he was struggling with.

Family in two languages

Timothy wanted to talk with his bilingual grandchildren.

He grew up surrounded by Spanish but never became fluent. After his first 90 days, with a personal study plan and a shared journal with his coach, he noticed the biggest improvement in his pronunciation, and he signed up for another 90 days.

Short summaries of real student stories. Everyone starts in a different place and moves at their own pace.

Sound familiar?

You understand it. You just can’t always get it out.

Maybe you have a trip coming up. Maybe you spend time in Spain or Latin America, or you have Spanish-speaking family or friends. You want more than a few phrases you learned by heart. Does this sound like you?

01

They talk fast, and you fall behind.

You get stuck on one word you didn’t catch. By the time you’ve worked it out, the conversation has moved on without you.

02

You start in Spanish. They switch to English.

You know they’re trying to help. Still, you wish you could finish your thought in Spanish.

03

You want a conversation, not just a transaction.

Ordering lunch is fine. Telling a story, joining a conversation, asking a real question: that’s where you want to be at ease.

04

You translate in your head.

You build the sentence in English first. By the time the Spanish is ready, the moment has passed, or it comes out as English with Spanish words.

“Before joining the Spanish Language Accelerator Program, I knew some grammar and a lot of vocabulary, but I couldn’t put it together in conversation. […] If you’ve been stuck at the ‘I know words but can’t speak’ stage, this program is exactly what gets you past it.”

From the founder

Why I created the Accelerator.

When I was a teenager, I wrote to an American pen pal in English for months. Then we met in person, and for the first hour I panicked. I had the words on paper, but not when I needed them.

What helped was speaking with a real person, regularly, until the words came on their own.

Since 2016, I’ve seen Spanish learners hit the same wall: they know more Spanish than they can comfortably use in conversation.

The Accelerator is the program I wish I’d had: weekly speaking practice with a coach, a plan built around you, and a team that follows your progress.

Back in love with Spanish

Real students, from the My Daily Spanish YouTube channel. Your results may be different.

Why speaking still feels different

More Spanish to study isn’t always what you need.

Apps and books help you understand. Speaking is a different skill: it happens in the half-second when you need a word and it won’t come.

Most of our students tried both of these before they came to us:

Apps and courses

A plan, but no one to talk to. You understand more, but you still freeze when you speak.

A tutor

Conversation, but no plan. Without someone tracking your mistakes, you repeat them every week, just more smoothly.

The Accelerator

Both. Your coach spots what trips you up and shows you the fix. Your plan tells you what to practice next, so you never waste time choosing.

“After 3 years learning with Duolingo and one term of face to face evening classes, I felt that I needed some more focussed learning to get me actually speaking Spanish. […] I’ve learned more in 12 weeks than I did in 3 years with Duolingo.”

The Accelerator method

Find the sticking point. Work on it together.

A course moves everyone to the next chapter on the same day, ready or not. Here, your coach builds the plan around you. Once something works in conversation, you move on. If it’s still hard, you keep practicing it. No word lists to memorize, no games.

Most coursesThe assembly line

Every week, the next chapter is stamped done, whether you can use it or not. Stuck? The belt keeps moving.

The AcceleratorBuilt around you

You’re assessed in week 1. Your coach spots what’s holding you back and fixes it, so your progress doesn’t stall. Your plan is updated as soon as you need it, and the reviews at weeks 6 and 12 show how far you’ve come.

  1. Week 1: a full assessment

You record yourself speaking. You also do short reading, writing and listening tasks. Your coach reviews it all and sends you a score, a video review and your first study steps.

  2. Your plan, on our platform

Your study plan is always one click away. Each week, you get three 20-minute practice blocks and one short essay, matched to your level and your weak spots.

  3. Practice with your coach

You get one 60-minute private session a week (two on Accelerated Fluency). Your coach corrects you as you speak. Between sessions, Veronika, our Head of Student Success, corrects your weekly essay and follows your progress. Your coach answers your questions within 24 hours, Monday to Saturday.

  4. Progress reviews at weeks 6 and 12

We reassess your Spanish and compare your new recording with your week 1 audio. You get a clear review of what has improved and what comes next.

Over the 12 weeks, I noticed a significant improvement in my spoken Spanish, particularly in my fluency and confidence during conversations.

Behind every coach: Veronika, our Head of Student Success. She’s a Spanish linguist. Every week, she corrects your essay, spots your weak points and keeps your plan on track. She’s there whenever you need more support.

Is this for you?

Who it’s for, and who it isn’t.

This is for you if…

  • You already know some Spanish, from A1 to C1, usually after at least 6 months of learning.
  • You understand more than you can say, and you freeze, hesitate or translate when speaking.
  • You’ve tried apps, courses or classes and still don’t feel spontaneous.
  • You want corrections and a clear plan, not only casual conversation.
  • You can commit at least two hours a week and are ready to invest in paid coaching.

It’s probably not the right fit if…

  • You’re starting completely from zero.
  • You only want occasional conversation practice.
  • You don’t have time to practice between sessions.
  • You want a self-paced course rather than coaching.
  • You’re looking for free help or a one-off session.

Your plan

Choose the level of support you need.

Both plans run 12 weeks and include the same study plan, corrections and reviews. The only difference is how often you meet your coach.

Our double guarantee

Start with confidence. Progress, or your money back.

Two promises: one at the start, one at the end.

Guarantee 1 · The fit guarantee

Not the right fit? Get your money back.

Cancel before your first session, or within 7 days after it, and we refund your payment. If we haven’t done your level assessment yet, you get a full refund. If we have, you keep everything we’ve already done for you: a full level assessment, where a coach reviews your speaking and pronunciation, your personal 12-week study plan, and detailed feedback on your Spanish. The assessment fee for that work is simply deducted from your refund.

Guarantee 2 · The progress guarantee

No progress in 12 weeks? A 100% refund.

Attend your sessions and do the practice you agreed with your coach. If your week-12 review shows no measurable progress on the skills we assessed at the start, we refund 100% of what you paid.

Covered by our guarantee: progress or your money back. See how it works.

Before you apply

A few practical questions.

Why not just hire a tutor online?

You can, and for some people that’s enough. A tutor gives you an hour of conversation. The Accelerator gives you more. Your coach finds what blocks you. You get a plan for the week and a corrected essay. You can ask your coach questions between sessions. And every six weeks, we check your progress. The hour with your coach is the center of the program, not the whole thing.

How much time does it take each week?

At least two hours a week for Core Confidence: your 60-minute session plus three 20-minute practice blocks on our platform. Accelerated Fluency takes at least three hours, because you get two sessions. That includes your weekly essay. That’s the minimum. If you can study more on your own, even better: your coach will give you extra practice to go further.

What level do I need?

Ideally, somewhere between A1 and C1. Not sure where you are? Tell us in your application, and we’ll confirm by email whether it’s a fit.

Will this make me fluent by my next trip?

Fluency depends on where you start, so we can’t promise it before we know your level. What we do guarantee: if you do the work, clear, measurable improvement in 12 weeks, or we refund you in full. Tell us when you travel, and your coach starts with what you’ll need first.

How does scheduling work across time zones?

We match you with a coach who is available when you are, based on your schedule, not ours. Tell us your usual availability during onboarding, then you book your sessions with your coach directly.

How is my coach chosen? Can I change?

We match you based on your goals and your schedule. Want Spanish from Spain, Mexico or somewhere else in Latin America? Tell us during onboarding, and we’ll match you with a coach from there. We suggest keeping the same coach for all 12 weeks. If it isn’t working, tell us and we’ll change.

What happens after I apply?

We review your answers and reply by email within 24 hours, Monday to Saturday. If it’s a fit, we recommend a plan and send you the next steps. You choose and pay only after that. Then you do your level assessment, and your plan is ready before your first session.

Can I pause the program?

Yes, for travel, illness or work. Tell us in advance and we’ll pause your sessions. Still, we suggest a steady weekly rhythm: showing up every week is what makes coaching work.

What if it’s not working for me?

If the Accelerator isn’t the right fit, cancel before your first session or within 7 days after it, and we refund your payment. If we haven’t done your level assessment yet, that’s a full refund. If we have, we deduct an assessment fee, and you keep your full level assessment, where a coach reviews your speaking and pronunciation, your personal study plan, and detailed feedback on your Spanish. And if you complete the 12 weeks and your final review shows no measurable progress, we refund 100%. See the guarantee.

Your Spanish. Your real-life goals.

What would you like to say more easily?
