Estoy yendo al metro porque voy a la estación de tren para volver a Sevilla. Hoy es la fiesta de jubilación de mi padre. Tengo que llegar a tiempo para preparar la fiesta sin que se entere, porque es una sorpresa que hemos preparado mi hermana y yo con sus compañeros de trabajo.

1:42 · Cercanías, larga distancia y seguridad
Ahí están los trenes de cercanías y nosotros y nosotras vamos a los de larga distancia. Hay que pasar el control de seguridad para que miren con un escáner lo que llevas en la maleta. Después puedes pasar a la zona de los trenes de alta velocidad.
English translation
The commuter trains are over there, and we’re heading to the long-distance trains. You have to pass security so they can scan what you’re carrying in your suitcase. Then you can enter the high-speed train area.

He pasado satisfactoriamente el control de equipajes. Ahora solo queda esperar a que salga en las pantallas en qué andén se coge el AVE a Sevilla. Solo salen los andenes de Barcelona; el de Sevilla aún no. Creo que he pasado el control demasiado temprano: podría haberme dado un paseo por la estación, porque faltan cuarenta y cinco minutos. I’ve successfully passed the luggage check. Now I just have to wait for the screens to show which platform the AVE to Seville departs from. They only show Barcelona’s platforms; Seville’s is not up yet. I think I went through security too early: I could have walked around the station, because there are forty-five minutes left. I wasn’t in that much of a hurry after all.

There used to be lots of much more comfortable seats here, and they’ve removed everything. I don’t understand. I’ve found a seat, and I’ll read while I wait. I’ll set an alarm in case I lose track of time reading. I’m afraid of missing the train. The platform number, the track number, still hasn’t appeared. I got up for nothing.

¡Bien! Ahora todo el mundo corre al andén de Sevilla. ¡Qué de gente! Ese es el AVE. En el vídeo digo que va a trescientos kilómetros por hora y llega de Madrid a Sevilla en dos horas y cuarto.
English translation

About the trip: The breakfast price, journey time and train facilities describe Lucía’s filmed journey. The AVE is a high-speed service; Renfe’s account of the AVE’s first thirty years describes high-speed travel at 300 km/h. This is not a promise that every AVE runs at that speed throughout a journey or that every Madrid–Seville service takes two hours and fifteen minutes. The repeated “breakfast at 300 km/h” line is preserved as her travel remark.
Two useful details: Un ColaCao in the order means a drink made with the branded cocoa powder; Lucía asks for soy milk and accepts it cold. Estoy muy llena means she is full after eating. Imbéciles is an insulting “idiots” in her complaint; it is stronger than the neutral chavales.
